Safari - Click tracking in the Safari browser has been working. I just hadn’t had time to verify it yet.

Out clicks on images - If you have images on your site that link to other sites, Site Meter will first try to record the value of the “alt” tag on the image as the text of the click. If the alt tag on the image is blank, Site Meter will use the file name of the image. So if you don’t want the file name to be used, make sure any clickable images have alt tags with names that are unique on your pages (so you can tell which image was clicked).

Context out clicks - Context out clicks occur when the visitor displays the context menu over a link. The context menu is displayed by clicking the right button on the mouse. Because of browser limitations, it isn’t known whether the user actually followed the link or not. We just know they “right clicked” on the link. Most of the time they’ve probably followed the link but you can’t be 100% sure. If any context out clicks occur during a visit, Site Meter displays them as the out click of the visit.

High volume sites - If you have a site that is getting a lot of traffic, then you probably won’t see many or any out clicks in your first page of recent visitors. The latest visitors to your site have just arrive and it is unlikely they’ve clicked on an exit link yet. Of course, if your visitors don’t click on an outbound link, they won’t showup in your statistics.

Adsense out clicks - In researching click tracking, I’ve looked at many different adsense tracking systems and none of them really track what you want to know. The two basic things I’d like to know are 1) the text of the ad they clicked on and 2) the address of the web site for the ad. About the only thing you can find out is that a click occured, but you still don’t know what was clicked on, and you don’t know where the visitor is going. It would be nice if Google created a standard way to track the clicks on their ads.

And finally, here is a question from an email I recieved.

I checked out the site and couldn’t find any links to other sites that people can click on. It should be obvious, but you’ll only see an “out click” if someone clicks on a link on your site that takes them to another site. To do that, you must have some links to other sites.

So what are outbound clicks?

When someone clicks a link that takes them to your site, that click shows up as the “referral” for the visitor in Site Meter’s reports. When someone clicks a link on your site that takes them to another site, that click is recorded as the “Out Click” or the “outbound click” of the visit. It tells you where people go when they click a link to leave your site.

I’ve looked around for the right term to use and it looks like most people are calling them “clicks” in the general sense and “out clicks” for clicks on links leaving your site. I’ve also seen the terms “exit tracking,” “links out,” “outbound url,” “out clicks,” “outclicks,” “exit links,” or simply, “links”. Now is the time let me know how you feel about it being called “out clicks” one-way-or-the-other. There is still time to change things before everyone gets used to “out clicks.”

I’ve found that out click tracking is difficult to support across all the various browsers (at least compared to tracking things like referrals), so I want to let everyone know the current limitations and what to expect. If you see anything strange when looking at the out clicks for your site that isn’t covered here, let me know.

Lately, you may have notice that some of the single-page visits to your site have a duration of greater than zero. In addition to page views, Site Meter now watches for any clicks on your page and those clicks let Site Meter know someone is still on your site (NOTE: You’ll need to be using the javascript version on your pages for Site Meter to monitor clicks).

For example, if someone comes to your home page, reads for a few minutes and then clicks on a link taking them to another site, the number of pages viewed on your site would still be one (1), but the visit duration would be difference between the time of the page view and the time of the click taking them to another site.

Gaja que é Gaja, mas Gaja como deve ser... tipo Gaja com G Grande mesmo, que tenha um cabelo bonito, uma voz grossa maravilhosa, umas havainas lindas e um bikini ainda mais lindo e que já seja finalista...

Uma gaja que tenhas estas caracteristicas é uma gaja capaz de tudo pra ajudar quem mereça a sua ajuda...

Bem então qual super gaja que eu sou lá fui eu hoje fazer o Bem! Que neste caso fui acompanhar uma good friend numa grande Odisseia pelo grande Centro Comercial da Mouraria (no Martim Moniz)... Aliás para que seja bem claro, não foi bem acompanhar, foi mais fazer de guarda costas á pobre rapariga! E claro, eu numa situação de perigo nunca recúo!!!

Então lá fui eu... com o meu vestido das bolinhas pra impor respeito (quem pode, pode...), com este tamanhão, com os meus músculos super trabalhados no Ginásio (sim, porque eu vou lá mesmo muitas vezes...lol).

E não é que fui, cheguei, circulei, vi, comprei e ... adorei!!!

Mais uma volta, mais uma viagem, e mais uma semana em que gastei mais 4 euros á toa, gastei a minha preciosa (e pouca...) paciência e não fiquei EuroMilionária...

Eu sei que se fosse trabalhar ou estudar em vez de estar pra aqui a postar coisas sem interesse algum ganharia mais, podia ter a possibilidade de aqui a 50 anos de trabalho árduo ser rica (mais coisa menos coisa...), mas que querem que eu vos faça, se eu fui feita sem essas apetências muito bonitas que são a vontade de trabalhar e de estudar... Mas cada qual é como é, e eu não troco uma bela jogatana de Sueca no meu Iscsp (disciplina qual já estou a nivel de mestrado...), mas não falo só de Sueca e Suecos (?!) mas também do belo Blackjack jogado ao cêntimo, ao madeirense Casino, ou então o belissimo..."Ah Ah Ah Eu é que sou a presidente da Junta!" (Private St)

Mas pra mim o momento alto da minha carreira de jogadora compulsiva não foi quando ganhei 25 euros no Totoloto, mas sim quando fui jogar para o recem inaugurado Casino de Lisboa, nas grandiosas Slotmachines da Playboy...

Como boa amiga da Sílvia que sou, fui ajudá-la no seu estudo de campo um dia destes.
Mas quanto mais estou com ela, mais me apercebo que há ali qualquer coisa que não bate bem. Esta aspirante a "madame" tem muito que se lhe diga - Sílvia, o teu cérebro não está em condições! Pois sim, porque uma pessoa que diz que bate com a porta do carro no nariz e fica com sangue pisado que parece uma borbulha gigante... não pode ser uma pessoa normal!! Mas há mais...:

To use it:

Download the plugin.
Unzip it and put the “SiteMeter.php” file into your plugins directory.
Go to the WordPress “plugins” page and click on “Activate” to turn the plugin on.
Go to the “Options” page and click on the “Site Meter” tab.
Enter the codename of your Site Meter account.
Press the “Update Options” button.
That’s all there is to it.

Out Clicks generated via javascript that do not use a “click” event are not tracked.
~~Right clicking on links (showing a context menu) is not tracked.~~ This is now supported. Also, I’m calling them “Context Out Clicks.” There are differences between them and out clicks that I’ll go into in a later post.
The out click can occur any time during the visit and is not necessarily a click on the exit page of the visit.
Only the last out click of a visit is displayed even if the visitor clicks on several links during their visit.
The out click tracking isn’t working for some browsers like Safari. I will establish a list of those browsers at a later date.

Also, I’ve discovered that blogs.com and TypePad.com are the same thing so the TypePad instructions can be used for adding Site Meter to both sites.

Nestas nossas saídas e convívios, fui interiorizando alguns momentos que, de algum modo, me marcaram e mudaram a minha vida para sempre. São alguns desses momentos que vou agora partilhar com vocês...

Momento 1: anedota estúpida
"- Mãe, estou grávida!"
"- Filha, onde é que tu tinhas a cabeça?!"
"- Mãe, em cima do volante, mas o que é que isso interessa agora??"
Reacção: "Hm... em cima do volante...? Essa posição nunca experimentei..."

Momento 2: Empata num SAAB com estofos em pele, com penteado lindo e a voz grossa (música para os meus ouvidos)
Reacção: ****** (nome não revelado por motivos óbvios), és a vergonha da minha cara!!

Momento 3: Num Peugeot cheio de gajas: "Hoje eu sou a cueca amarela, vou chegar primeiro!"
Reacção: "Hein? Não percebi!"
Explicação: Versão ZzZ da camisola amarela... AAAHHH!!

Momento 4: Mulheres portuguesas vendem óvulos em Espanha por 900€
Reacção: "Las putias espanholias non tienen óviulos porque laquieian las triompias."
Reacção 2: Pareces uma vaca a falar espanhol.
Questão Pertinente: Como falam as vacas espanholas?
Solução: Perguntar ao espanholito!

Momento 5: "Hoje o WC é nosso!!"
Reacções alheias: "Hoje quero é praia e p*tedo"... (?!?!)

Momento 6: Constatação do método de análise do CSI, nomeadamente o uso de cotonetes em tudo o que é sítio.
Teoria: Análises ao ADN (tipo CSI) em certos sítios podem revelar resultados género roleta russa sexual.

Momento 7: Conversa sobre preliminares.
Teoria: Método da queima de etapas: para quê entradas, se queres comer a sério o prato principal?
Reacção única: "Mas eu gosto de entradas..."

Momento 8: Conversa sobre vacas no regresso do WC.
Teoria do Putinoffio: "Há as vacas brancas, e há as vacas brancas com malhas!"
Questão pertinente: vacas brancas com malhas = vacas malhadas?

Procuro a minha Inspiração, desapareceu ontem por volta do 12:30h! Saiu de casa pra ir ao ginasio e nunca mais voltou!!! Essa gaja (a minha inspiração) a ultima vez que a vi vestia uns jeans azuis, um top fashion e levava calçado umas havaianas lindas. Peço encarecidamente se alguem a visualizar pra ai perdida me contacte pro nº 939389*** mas tenham CUIDADO quando interagirem com ela pois ela tem muito mau feitio e ás vezes até morde...

Será um pássaro... um avião ou o Super Homem?

Putinoffia que se preze esbanja charme e estilo por onde passa, sendo por vezes vitima (?!) de vários tipos de assédio... mas... até para nós que somos raparigas arrojadas á limites nas brincadeirinhas...

História: Estava aqui a Putinoffia de regresso de um belo dia de estudo de campo na praia, acompanhada das suas associadas, num belo BJ White, quando não é que somos assaltadas por uma visão dos Diabos?!?!?! Uns "Zés" quaisqueres que estavam a ultrapassar o BJ, num carro vermelho e podre (é que já não bastava a cor, o carro já estava um bocado pro podre...). Bem até agora nada de anormal! Mas... o horror vem depois!!! O "Zé" pendura abre a janela do carro e... mostra-nos o seu rabo peludo e do tamanho do mundo!!! Reacção geral... LLLLOOOOLLLL... A risada geral... a driver do BJ quase que teve de parar o carro, tal foi o horror e o terror da situação!!!

Moral da História: Nós não gostamos de nada assim tão oferecido...

Questão pertinente: Será por causa de visões destas que a Taxa de Sinistralidade em Portugal assume valores vergonhosos?!
